Film Review

I went to Marble Arch cinema on Saturday night with my gorgeous boyfriend to go and see 'Side Effects'

I was expecting something action-filled yet disturbing as this was what the trailer made out but as we sat down with our cupcakes and water we were greeted by a very dark, determined story that was going to need us to concentrate and unravel the events for ourselves.

The film was shot beautifully and the acting was fantastic, especially by Jude Law but there were no parts that were full of action or had a sense of adrenaline to it so it all seemed very slow and it almost got tedious.

However towards the end, it all started to make sense and the dark, twisted mind of the main character, Emily, started to come into place.

I wasn't expecting it to be a Thriller or Horror but it actually turned into that as the film went on and it became a dark psychological thriller but without all the jumpy parts and aliens.
It was twisted and sick and the thought process behind it was that of a psycho killer and that was totally unexpected for me.

I would recommend it but wouldn't see it again or buy it on DVD but I would say to people that it is worth a watch.

I'll stick to my chick flicks though however.
Now where is 'This is 40' showing?
