Macaroon


These light, baked confections are described as small cakes or meringue-like cookies depending on their consistency. The original macaroon was a "small sweet cake consisting largely of ground almonds but now they come in over sixty flavours!

I personally have never tasted one but it's on my list of things

 to try the next time I visit somewhere that does traditional 

macaroons, such as Paris.

This amazing cooking blog is seriously great at teaching you how 

to make your own and they look fantastic! especially the 'cream 

bun' one.


I might go ahead and try making my own, but I think I'll be 

sticking to a classic flavour.
