Vintage Tea Emporium

Arriving at the Vintage Tea Emporium in Uttoxeter was a dream, it was completely up mine and my mums street.
The window display was gorgeous, filled with vintage bikes, old grandfather clocks, cake stands and floral tea cups.

Walking in, you were greeted by a fresh subtle pink, stone and cream decor and this was complimented by the old tables and varied chairs and benches.
No space was left empty, cabinets filled the walkways, full of merchandise that would make a perfect country home and everything on show was for sale, making it a shop as much as it was a tea room.
The back wall was full of tester samples of Farrow and Ball paint, which I found a pleasant surprise, something that set it out from the rest.

Tables were laid with vintage cutlery and tea cups with matching saucers and the hand made menu was extremely inviting.

A delicious breakfast menu was followed by the lunch menu which held dishes such as super filled jackets, hot pots, pate on home made bread and a delicious lasagne.
The vintage board on the wall showcased the dessert menu of Victoria Sponge, Chocolate and Orange loaf, Scones, Coffee and Walnut cake and many many others.

Mum and I ordered the hot pot and a cheese and bean jacket and both of which were delicious, the beef hot pot had massive chunks of beef from the local butchers and the pudding were just as spectacular!
The chocolate and orange loaf was divine, moist yet dense and the fresh cream and strawberries completely complimented it.
Mum's Victoria Sponge was delicious, a massive slice filled with loads of buttercream and jam.

The only thing that let me down was the chocolate milkshake as for me it has to be extremely chocolatey and unfortunately they weren't.

However, it is my new found gem and I will be there a lot more often and have already taken them up on their offer of hosting my birthday party there in August.

I'm ever so excited!

I hope you all go and visit!
