Ever since I saw the film 'Eat.Pray.Love' and Julia Roberts said
'Ruin is a gift, Ruin is the road to transformation'
It really stuck with me, the idea that all the difficult and bad times that you go through in the course of your life does transform you as a person, you gain a different perspective and a greater understanding. You understand situations that some people couldn't even begin to get a grip of and it can better you as a person. It helps you to mature and be wiser in certain situations and this quote really hit home that everything I have been through, from break-ups with boyfriends, court cases regarding my parents divorce when I was 2 and the continuous battles between them throughout my whole childhood, was really worth it because now I have a greater understanding and I matured at a very young age, which in hindsight has led me to be where I am today.
